With Scion dead, the FR-S lives on as the 2017 Toyota 86. Here's an in-depth look at all the little differences between the two.

Almost a year ago, Toyota made the decision to finally pull the plug on its struggling Scion brand. But while that decision did kill off the underwhelming tC, Toyota itself absorbed most of the rest of the Scion lineup, including the FR-S. Now called the Toyota 86, it's still available at your local Toyota dealer.

Does that mean the 86 is just an FR-S with a different badge? Not quite. Toyota gave the 86 a few updates before replacing the Scion "S" with the Toyota "T." And in their latest video, the guys at Savagegeese take a close look at the 86 to see exactly what's changed.

The most obvious difference, of course, is the front end. It has a slightly different design that looks like it could be an aftermarket a body kit. Actually, it feels like Toyota tried to offer the same kind of changes a lot of buyers were already doing to their cars. The suspension has also been upgraded, tuned to offer more comfort in daily driving.

And, of course, you wouldn't want to forget about the five extra horsepower the 86 has now. Definitely don't forget about that.
